Germany boss Joachim Loew said that he could be tempted by a club coaching role in the future, but would move away from his homeland.
The 52-year-old has previously coached Stuttgart and Fenerbahce, but has a contract with the national team that lasts until 2014.
Loew has been touted as a potential successor to Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid, and although he previously stated that he has little interest in the Portuguese tactician’s job, he could be tempted by a similar role in the future.
“I would not deny that to work as a club coach could be fun. If you ask me today, I’d prefer to move abroad,” he told 11Freunde.
During Loew’s tenure as Germany coach, the national team have reached the final of Euro 2008 and the semi-finals at the 2010 World Cup.
